OF STELLAR LIGHTING PRODUCTS


Returning unwanted items (ready-made items only)

2.1 Products that do not clearly state that they are made to order on the product page on the Stellar Lighting website can be taken to be “ready-made”.

2.6 If for any reason, you are not delighted with your purchase of a Stellar Lighting ready-made product, you may decide to return it within 14 days of delivery, at your own expense. Please return goods in the original packaging. We will refund your payment within 14 days of us receiving your goods back. A deduction to the value of your refund may be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary.

Please follow the recommended steps:

  1. Contact Stellar Lighting at info@stellarlighting.co.uk quoting your order number and the reason for return

  2. Wait for our e-mail confirmation and instructions for the return

  3. Return goods in the original packaging, and include all parts, packaging.

  4. Add a note to the outer packaging saying: "Return reference: XXX unwanted product, returned for refund". 

  5. Send it to the following address:

  6. Once you’ve dispatched the parcel, please send us the tracking number so we can notify the warehouse of its arrival.

Cancelling custom-orders

3.1 Fibre optic and LED Starlight ceiling panels and custom-ordered stair lighting kits are made to order, including those which are of a standard design shown on the Stellar Lighting website.  Certain other products may also be made to order. Where additional products are made to order this will clearly be indicated on the product page.

3.8 Manufacturing of your made-to-order Stellar Lighting product starts twenty-four (24) hours after we have received your full or Advance Payment.  As made-to-order Stellar Lighting products are made to your specifications, please note that you have only a twenty-four (24) hour period of time to cancel your order after your full or Advance Payment has been received. If you cancel your order later than twenty-four (24) hours after making your full or Advance Payment, you may lose your full or Advance Payment.


RETURNING FAULTY ITEMS

7.4 In case of a fault within the warranty period, your Stellar Lighting product will be repaired or replaced dependent upon the nature of the fault. Your statutory rights are not affected.

7.5 Please note that you have a statutory duty to take reasonable care to ensure that your Stellar Lighting product is used in accordance with its purpose. If reasonable care is not exercised, we may make a claim against you for not exercising this statutory duty.

We will require you to send back the faulty part for inspection. Further steps (replacement, repair, refund) will be subject to the findings of the inspection.


Please follow the recommended steps in terms of the return for the faulty item:

  1. Contact Stellar Lighting at info@stellarlighting.co.uk quoting your order number and the nature of the fault.

  2. Please provide as many details as possible regarding the nature of the fault, with supporting photos and videos, so we can assess the situation as quickly as possible.

  3. Wait for our response as in some cases, the issue can be resolved without returning the product. If it comes to returning the faulty item, please follow our instructions for the return.

  4. Add a note to the outer packaging saying: "Return reference: XXX - faulty item, returned for inspection". 

  5. We will provide you the return address in our returns instructions.

  6. Once you’ve dispatched the parcel, please send us the tracking number so we can notify the warehouse of its arrival.

  7. Please allow 3-5 working days to assess the fault. Once we identify the fault, the options will depend on the nature of the fault. If the fault falls within a warranty, we will repair or replace the item and send it back to you free of charge and we will refund you for the cost of sending the item back to us. If the fault falls outside of a warranty claim, we will offer you the option of repair or replace with the cost for either option.
